I just finished a group 8-day detox program with Julie and I want to compliment her in so many ways for the program. First, the results – I was able to get off coffee (a minor miracle), lose some weight and re-setting and cleansing my body after the holidays.
Julie built in so much that contributed to success – group meetings at the beginning and end of the program, a few nutritional supplements to support our bodies through the change in eating, a closed Facebook group where we shared the ups and downs, great recipes (honest!) and most of all, an emphasis on mindset. Her perspective is that she strives to bring healing to both the body and the mind. She emphasized our building healthy practices not just with food, but also how we hold our thinking and emotions. For me, these are the things that underpin that reaching for food.

I’ve been a client of Julie’s for about a year now, and I am so happy I took the step to work with a nutritionist, and Julie in particular. I feel much more in control of my eating life, and Julie helped me develop strategies for the long-term, especially in advance-planning.
But the very best thing I like about Julie Scott is that she doesn’t try to make you into something you’re not. I have always been a very picky eater, and Julie has never tried to get me to be a kale-lover, or anything else that’s unrealistic or unsustainable in the long-term. These days you have to be your own advocate for health care. It’s nice to not have to shop blindly through nutritional supplements and not know what to do (and what not to do). Having someone to guide me is a real help. I’ve heard so many things about people who bottle herbs and supplements unregulated and untested in their kitchens .It makes me feel good that Julie can help me navigate through this. Julie offered me a free nutrition evaluation when she was still in training. She met with me a few times, and gathered information via a survey about my lifestyle, exercise patterns, and eating habits. She then came back with some concrete recommendations, many of which I’ve incorporated into my daily routine. She also gave me a few recipes, which I really appreciated. All in all, I was impressed by her knowledge and ability to make recommendations that were achievable. I would recommend her to others that are looking to make a change in their eating habits.

Julie knows what she is doing and is very personable. My only complaint is that my first two hour visit seem inefficient. I felt like I was there for a long time without getting a lot done BUT I have been feeling amazing since following her plan so I can’t complain too much.

Had I not developed trust in Julie by attending a couple of her health seminars, I would never have had the courage to forego well-meaning advice to put my daughter on anti-depressants. Instead, I’m seeking more effective natural remedies under Julie’s guidance.

I went to see Julie because after only 2 months at my new job I had already gained a noticeable amount of weight, and I didn’t want the trend to continue. Not only did Julie get me back on track, but she also transformed my relationship with food and my relationship with myself.

Taking her 8 week course at our workplace (oracle). Not expecting what I was getting into, signed up.
To my surprise, this was one of best courses on nutrition. She goes into depth to various aspects of nutrition, how it affects your body, what food to avoid, what are the safe supplements and why you should take them. She won’t force you into crazy diets, explains alternatives to unhealthy eating habits and automatically you start eating healthy and in process lose weight.
Never felt this healthy since my early 20s.

A big rave for Julie. I don’t like taking any pills or supplements, I hate the taste and feeling of vitamin taste of my mouth and breathe. When I met Julie for a one-to-one evaluation, I did not have any complaints, but was getting the usual viruses in winter time when someone is sick around me. She recommended a liquid multi-vitamin which is the best ever. It tastes good, it makes you drink more water, which anyone can benefit from (you have to take it with 8 oz of water), and most importantly I have been avoiding viruses the whole Winter season. First my wife got something, the heavy cough one in December, then my colleagues got the one in January that was on the news, I did not. It is really good to know that I am working with a professional who has knowledge not only form the books, but also from a personal experience. Julie knows her business.

I was immediately impressed when I had the opportunity to hear Julie speak about nutrition. I have never met someone so passionate and knowledgeable about the benefits of proper nutrition. Julie is different than other people I have heard speak on nutrition because she talks about the steps and changes you need to commit to in order to make a long-term change.
When I talked to her about helping a family member with poor health and diet, she pointed out some fundamental issues that were keeping him stuck in his bad habits.
I found her to be extremely caring and ethical as she has her patients best interest in mind. If you are looking to shed 15 to 50+ pounds and learn a healthy lifestyle that will help you after you have achieved your goal… go to Julie Scott! She doesn’t throw frozen food or protein shakes at you, she works with you, your schedule and your current diet with minor tweaks. She treats you like a friend, not a client and is very passionate about what she does. She is there no matter what…there is no such thing as failure she says. My favorite part about her is that she says “if you want a brownie, have a brownie, but you know your truth”. There are no restrictions! You learn that the brownie is not that important and learn that eating is a part of living and loving life. I found Julie after I read an article in the local paper: the Los Altos Town Crier and am soo glad I decided to pay her a first visit, that culminated in many more. She was instrumental in nursing me back to a healthy digestion system and referred me to a homeopathic doctor when she felt that would compliment her treatment. She has given me numerous tips on other health related topics as well.
