Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) or Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS)

Chronic fatigue is a complicated disorder characterized by extreme fatigue that can’t be explained by an underlying medical condition. The fatigue may worsen with physical activity but doesn’t really improve with rest. The onset may be sudden or it may have developed over time.

The cause of chronic fatigue syndrome is unknown although there are many theories ranging from viral infections to psychological stress. Some experts believe chronic fatigue may be triggered by a combination of factors.

Symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome may include some or all of the following:

  • Feeling malaise after physical exertion
  • Non-restorative, unfreshing sleep
  • Wide-spread muscle and joint pain
  • Frequent sore throat
  • Cognitive difficulties, brain-fog
  • Impaired memory and concentration
  • Depression
  • Painful and slightly swollen lymph nodes
  • Mental and physical exhaustion
  • Frequent colds and infections
  • Weight gain
  • Low libido

Solutions for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Although the current allopathic medical models fail to offer a pharmaceutical solution for chronic fatigue syndrome, nutrition and mind-body methods can, in many instances, result in a partial to complete reversal of the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome. I personally was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia and now enjoy outstanding and vibrant health. I credit my wellbeing to the long-term application of nutritional protocols that, over time, slowly supported my body’s natural ability to heal. In my practice, I work with you so that you can also support your body’s natural healing processes with nutrition and mind-set practices. Over time, these methods may allow you to experience a dramatic reversal of the symptoms of this disabling condition.

What you can expect when using nutrition for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome:

Healing takes time. Some people may feel a difference in a relatively short amount of time and others take longer. Using nutrition and mind-body approaches to stimulate the body’s capacity to heal from the symptoms of chronic fatigue is effective only when you commit to making the necessary changes in your diet and lifestyle. I will work with you over a series of sessions so that we can address the nutritional and emotional issues behind this condition. Eating habits, supplements, lifestyle and mind-set issues will all be addressed so that over time, you can regain control over your health and ultimately reclaim your vitality and wellness.

It is important to note that there is no known cure for chronic fatigue syndrome and the causes may be varied. As a result, nutritional therapies may have a profound impact on the body’s ability to heal these symptoms or they may not, depending on the underlying cause of the condition. Nonetheless, many people do experience a dramatic and significant shift in their wellness using nutritional mind/ body approaches.
